Prepping for the 708 Build

My planned build order for modules starts with the 708. I currently have no audio source so there is not much to test with in my test rack for the time being. With a noise source I can at least confirm that the mixer and S&H units work as expected.

I’ve been notified that my 2nd round of PCB’s and faceplates have been shipped out, which includes the PCB for the 708. While I wait, I’ve sorted and labelled all the bits for the project. Not the most exciting work, but this approach made the build of my 1st 2 modules fairly straightforward, so I’m planning to use it again. Not to mention, with my surplus of components that I have on hand, it took some time to find everything. The good news is that I was able to find every part needed for the module, just need that PCB now!

A few path notes:

Caps:

  • MLCC = Multi-layer Ceramic Capacitors — aka “ceramic” caps
  • Polyester = “film” caps
