Yet another order of straggling parts have arrived, this time bearing a red push-button for the ADSR that I had overlooked. The only exciting thing here is that it is the only one of its kind in the project– all other controls are either pots, rotary switches, or toggle switches of some sort. I must admit that it adds a touch of color to an otherwise very austere looking panel of modules.
I was also able to determine that the 3080 IC’s from China also are defective and not working, which are used in the VCF’s, LFO’s, and VCA’s. Replacements for these and the LM301’s have been ordered from Jameco this time, as it was the US-based supplier suggested online. I’m headed out of town this week to visit family, so hope to resume testing and with more reliable IC’s available when I return.
